CERRA held its two-day Virtual Teacher Expo again on March 13 - 14, 2024. ​Recruiters from South Carolina’s public school districts are working to fill their known and anticipated teacher vacancies at the South Carolina Teacher Expo. Last year, over 2,000 job vacancies were posted by over 30 South Carolina school districts and attendance was brisk with 200+ attendees from around the globe. The South Carolina Department of Education will be there again to assist anyone who needs and requests assistance with SC Teacher Certification and will provide information regarding the many paths for alternative certification. Each year, CERRA reviews the benefits of events like the Teacher Expo  and how to implement advancements in filling vacant teaching positions.

CERRA also partners with Study.com, a national EdTech platform, to launch Keys to the Classroom in South Carolina. This education initiative is aimed at unlocking opportunities for aspiring educators who are preparing for certification tests to earn their teaching credentials.

South Carolina is a wonderful place to live and teach! Our virtual Teacher Expo is sure to assist you with joining the thousands of teachers who already call South Carolina home.

What to expect before the event:

• Follow the registration directions to ensure that your information is visible to our districts when the event opens on March 13th. You will receive a confirmation email from Premier Virtual, the hosting platform, letting you know that your registration has been received.

• During registration, take advantage of the free resume writing assistance available through Top Resume. This free service is available to help you submit your best resume on the first day of the Expo. The resume review feature is a part of Step 5 in the registration process.

• Look for "Tips for Virtual Interviewing" on CERRA social media platforms. The tips will help you have a great virtual experience.  

• View our Teach in SC video, which is located at the bottom of the page, to discover why South Carolina is a great state to live in and teach!  

March 13 -14, 2024,  information:

At 8:00 a.m. EST, on March 13, 2024, you will be able to view open teaching positions for all of the participating districts. The districts’ information will be available until late registration ends on March 15, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. EST.

Educator Licensure and Alternative Certifications:
