Education: Arthur, a Charleston native, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of Charleston and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina.

Experience: Arthur has dedicated several decades to the field of education and continues to find fulfillment in his role as a Program Facilitator. He began his career as a sixth-grade science teacher at W.A. Perry Middle School in Richland County School District One and later taught biology and environmental science at Airport High School in Lexington School District One. Beyond the classroom, Arthur also served as a Loan Counselor and Public Information Officer at the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation, further broadening his impact on students and families.


CERRA: Arthur’s involvement with CERRA began as a ProTeam teacher, where he helped inspire students to consider careers in education. From 2003 to 2005, he served as a Teacher in Residence for Region 3 (The Midlands). In 2011, he rejoined CERRA as a Program Facilitator for Region 3, where he has since played a pivotal role in the implementation and growth of both the ProTeam and Teacher Cadet programs throughout the state. In addition to these efforts, Arthur also oversees rural recruitment initiatives across South Carolina, working to ensure that schools in underserved areas have access to passionate and talented educators. His decades of service continue to make a lasting difference in shaping the next generation of teachers.
