Education: Michael earned an Associate of Fine Arts from Anderson College, a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Central Wesleyan College, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Clemson University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Experience: Michael began his career as a music teacher in Anderson County School District 4, where he taught for three years. He then spent thirteen years as a teacher and coach at Liberty Middle School in Pickens County. Transitioning into administration, Michael served as Assistant Principal at Crosswell Elementary before becoming Principal of Dacusville Elementary, a role he held for eleven years. Additionally, Michael has contributed to higher education as an Online Faculty member at the University of Phoenix and as an Adjunct Faculty member at Southern Wesleyan University and Anderson University.

CERRA: Michael serves as the Teaching Fellows Program Facilitator at CERRA. In this role, he collaborates with Dr. Jenna Hallman, CERRA's Executive Director, and the campus directors of the thirteen Teaching Fellows Institutions. He also works with high school guidance counselors to support recruitment efforts for the Teaching Fellows program.
