2016 South Carolina Teacher Expo
The South Carolina Teacher Expo is a one-day job fair designed to match teacher candidates to current district vacancies. The Expo attracts jobseekers from across the United States and several foreign countries. This year's Expo will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2016 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, SC.
The South Carolina Teacher Expo is open to certified teachers, recent college graduates of teacher education programs, and applicants who have applied to and met admission criteria for an approved alternative certification program in South Carolina. This year's Expo is open to candidates from all subject areas.
South Carolina has adopted the South Carolina Educator Employment Application form which can be completed online and submitted to all or multiple school districts in South Carolina. The application and information about completing the application can found at teachsc.org. The application should be completed prior to attending the Teacher Expo.
Also, if you have not already applied for certification in South Carolina, you should do so prior to attending the SC Teacher Expo. Certification application procedures and information can be found at http://ed.sc.gov/educators/certification/.
The deadline for districts to register for the 2016 SC Teacher Expo has passed.
Participant Registration Information
Important Notes for Participants
If you pre-register online, you will need to check-in inside the Ruff Building starting at 9:30AM.
Participants may register as walk-ins. If doing so, please bring $10 in cash to pay your registration fee. A walk-in registration table will be located to the right inside the Ruff Building.
You should download the participant packet and read through it carefully to ensure you are fully prepared for the day.
You will be given a blank nametag when you check in. You will need to bring a pen or marker to complete your nametag.
Lunch is not provided.
Wi-Fi will be available, but power outlets will be limited.
There are no copiers on site. You must prepare your own copies before coming.

Please note that CERRA makes not guarantee that the districts listed above will attend the Expo. The list includes all district who have registered to attend.
Documents to Bring to the Teacher Expo
You should bring multiple copies of each document; a copying machine will not be available on site.
Teaching Certificate*, if currently certified in South Carolina or any other state
Letter of Eligibility, if issued by the SC Dept. of Education, due to pending certification status (PACE, CATE, etc.)
Driver’s License, Social Security card, or other proof of U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
